The death has occurred of Rose Scanlon (née Rogers) (Kinnock, Kilsallagh, Westport, Co. Mayo formerly Moynalty, Co. Meath) June 23rd 2025:- Peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny, surrounded by her loving family, and previously in the wonderful care of St. Fiacc's House, Carlow. Pre-deceased by her husband Sean. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her children Peter (Manchester), Francis (Chicago), Sinead (Manchester), Roisin (Athy), Shane (Maynooth) and Tracy (Hillsborough), sons & daughters in-law and partners Tina, Pauline, Jason, Martin, Eibhlin and Cathal, brother John, brother in-law Peadar and his wife Kathleen, grandchildren Kate, Molly, Hannah, Sean Óg, Ryan, Aoibheann, Aimee, Ruby, Millie, Senan, Adia, James, Evan and Iarla, nieces, nephews, cousins the extended Scanlon & Rogers families, and a large circle of friends. May She Rest In Peace. Rose will rest in repose at Sweeney's Funeral Home Louisburgh on Tuesday evening (June 24th) from 6:30pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers at 8:30pm. Removal from her home on Wednesday morning at 11:00am to St. Patrick's Church, Lecanvey for 11:30am Mass of the Resurrection, followed by interment in Kilgeever Cemetery. ~~~ Family flowers only.
